The natural chemical properties and abrasive texture of used coffee grounds make them perfect for removing dead skin cells, promoting smoother, more radiant skin. Mix used coffee grounds with a carrier oil such as coconut, olive, or almond oil to create a homemade exfoliating scrub for your body. This mixture can be gently massaged into the skin using circular motions, then rinsed off, leaving the skin feeling refreshed and soft. Avoid using on thinner skin, like that on your face. Used coffee grounds are an excellent option for eco-friendly cleaning.

Balancing carbon (browns), nitrogen (greens), moisture, and air is essential to create high-quality compost. Fortunately, used coffee grounds are an excellent addition to compost because they contain nitrogen, a vital nutrient for the microorganisms that break down organic matter. When coffee grounds are added to compost, they help speed up the decomposition process, making the compost richer in nutrients essential for plant growth. Mixing coffee grounds with carbon-rich materials such as leaves, straw, or paper is recommended to maintain a healthy compost balance. This combination enhances the overall structure and aeration of the compost, facilitating faster breakdown and preventing the compost from becoming too wet and compacted. Used coffee grounds are an excellent soil conditioner due to their nitrogen content and ability to improve soil structure.

The Best Coffee Shops in Los Angeles

Yesterday was our first time we visited this restaurant. But It is no doubt not the last time. We passed a splendid evening with the generous service, with the first-rate food and fine drinks and with the friendly charge. It's clean and the staff are friendly. Coffee was good, the breakfast was decent.
The ballroom was beautifully decorated with tables covered with black tablecloths and centerpiece lanterns containing colorful flowers. Coffee, tea and delicious desserts of brownies and lemon bars were also served. One-hundred and thirty-nine people enjoyed the SaddleBrooke Writers Group Coffee House program in the HOA-2 ballroom on the evening of Thursday, March 28.
But I wish they create more vegan options. They have no mobile or on line ordering options. I really wish they would add at least one mobile ordering service, like all other restaurants do nowadays.

Coffee grounds are safe to eat in moderation, offering health benefits like antioxidants and dietary fiber, similar to brewed coffee. However, excessive consumption can cause side effects including insomnia, nervousness, and digestive irritation due to their abrasive texture and high caffeine content. Additionally, coffee grounds are toxic to pets and should not be consumed by animals. Due to its pungent odor and chemical properties, coffee grounds can be used as a natural repellent against various pests. However, it’s important to note that coffee grounds are not universally effective against all insects.

The dishes are always tasty, the service towards the customers is nice. I frequently visit this restaurant and I was never disappointed. I love coming here with my boyfriend.
And thus, it’s a city of drive-thrus, to-go cups, and car cupholders, a city full of people sipping their coffee while sitting in traffic on the freeway. But this is a list of the little guys, the places that take their time brewing a quality cup of joe. Here’s our guide to our favorite small, independent coffee shops in L.A. Uncover the natural solution to under-eye puffiness and dark circles with used coffee grounds.
The next time you brew coffee, remember that the grounds can do much more than make a great cup. Using spent coffee grounds in your garden, home, and beauty routines can benefit your plants and skin. This practice contributes to a more sustainable lifestyle, allowing you to reduce waste, save money, and take advantage of coffee grounds’ natural properties. People commonly use coffee grounds to brew coffee, but they can also employ them in cooking to flavor both sweet and savory dishes. Incorporating coffee grounds into meat rubs or marinades imparts a rich, earthy taste.
They offer a simple, eco-friendly approach to pest control in certain situations. I had an excellent time in this place. We liked the nice atmosphere and the food. The staff members were super affable. I am glad we finally managed to try this restaurant. Food Delicious but they not Socially Responsible.
He always gets the same dish which is a pastrami sandwich but I always get something different and I am never unsatisfied with my choice. I do however wish I had five stomachs so I could order multiple dishes as opposed to trying some thing new every once in a while lol. They’re just great and have so many options which is perfect for those who are picky or those who may be craving something they can’t put their finger on.
LAMILL is an award-winning specialty coffee roaster – our favorite brew from them is the Ardi, a natural coffee from Ethiopia with citrus and floral notes. In addition to food and drinks, they also sell coffee subscriptions as well as home brewing equipment. This cute specialty coffee brand has four outposts in L.A.
You can also use coffee grounds in sachets to deodorize shoes or as a scrub to remove body odors. Coffee grounds contain essential minerals beneficial for plant growth, such as nitrogen, potassium, and phosphorus. These nutrients can contribute to the fertility of the soil but won’t be enough to sustain the health of your plants over time. Just think of it as an inexpensive, mild, organic fertilizer that will give your plants a slight nitrogen boost. To use in the garden or potted plants, sprinkle the used coffee grounds around your plants and work it in a half inch to a depth of 4 inches. Like other soil amendments, more isn’t always better.
This adorable shop on La Brea has quickly become one of our favorite coffee shops in Los Angeles. We had a delicious Ethiopian pour-over from Canyon Coffee and a cinnamon sugar croissant swirl from Friends and Family. It’s a gorgeous space – natural light floods in from several windows, and the friendly staff always takes care to have fresh flowers on their wooden communal table. There are plenty of outlets (no WiFi, though), so this has become our go-to writing spot. The coffee is delicious and the service is efficient and friendly despite the fact that the place is almost full of customers.
